The dual surface texture

The dual surface texture of CERALOG® is unique in that it combines two defined roughnesses on a single implant without the need for finishing. The enossal area of the implant body is equipped with a micro-roughness with an Ra of 1.6 μm to ensure targeted deposition of bone cells. The neck area of the implant has a lower degree of roughness with an Ra value of 0.5 μm, which optimizes soft tissue deposition.

The Y-TZP zirconia material

CERALOG® Implants consist of yttrium oxide stabilized tetragonal zirconium dioxide. They are produced by Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM). Here both the outer geometry as well as the surface structure are already created in a mold before the sintering and HIP process (HIP = Hot Isostatic Pressing). No abrasive treatment of the zirconia is necessary during this process. Only few companies worldwide are capable of mastering this high-tech manufacturing process.

100% Quality Control: Each implant is subjected to a thorough mechanical loading test and dimensional check in a controlled process before being packaged.


CERALOG® Hexalobe Implant

The two-piece ceramic implant – CERAMIC EXCELLENCE

The two-piece CERALOG® Hexalobe Implant enables reversible screw-retained prosthetic solutions that overcome the limitations of many previous ceramic systems. The two-part Hexalobe implant has been successfully used in the current configuration since early 2012.

Another specific feature is the material of the abutments. They are made of PEKK high-performance polymer, which behaves very similar to a tooth under load conditions and offers good sealing properties thanks to its flexibility. In terms of use, CERALOG® Implants are very similar to titanium implants.
